The New Walk Museum in Leicester has an amazing collection of German Expressionist art. It now totals over 350 works and was initiated with acquisitions from an exhibition they held in 1944. They have produced a stunning 65th anniversary exhibition which continues until 28th February 2010 and includes more than 100 works by Marc, Kandinsky, Munter, Heckel, Schmidt-Rottluff, Kirchner, Neuschul, Kollwitz, Dix, Feininger and Grosz. It's a shame they were unable to produce a catalogue - maybe we'll have to wait another 65 years for that.
